Tony and a few friends are back to there old tricks of grinding down stairs and pullin pop shovits over cars. Tony Hawk 3 has been one of the most anticipated games of the summer and why some might ask? Well its very simple in fact you see the original Tony hawk was an instant success helping to throw X Games into a class all of their own, then surprise out comes Tony 2 which managed to still out do the original, and finally comes Tony Hawk 3 one of the most fun and entertaining games I have played this year, and also the best of the series I might add.

Something that sets Tony apart from say
MOH or Star Wars Jedi Knight II is it’s easy to play interface. In order to play Tony hawk 3 you need no knowledge of skateboarding or any real PC knowledge for that matter, Its a game that you can pop in and simply start hammering on buttons and be amazed with the amazing tricks your pulling off.

Probably the only thing that’s going to give people a hard time is landing, and although it’s something that you will do constantly through out a run it’s probably one of the things that will hold people back from attempting major jumps, say over the half pipe. Once you have the landing down pat it’s simply linking up big airtime with impressive tricks and your ready to take to the verts.

Since I can remember I have been a fan of skateboarding not to say I was ever really all that spectacular at it, nevertheless I tried and managed to become decent at it and something I have to say about all Tony Hawk titles including 3 is that the developers, in Tony Hawk 3’s case it’s Gearbox Software have managed to take the art of skateboarding and turn it into something anyone can do and don’t need to bust your hump for hours to see results, also by playing the game I have realized I have managed to save a little more skin…aside from the blisters this game awarded me.

Probably the best thing about Tony Hawk 3 is it’s replayability most games hitting the market these days aim at the 8-15 hour mark, Tony aims big as usual and will offer up virtually weeks of playing and daily hours of fun. Thanks to enormous parks as well as the ability to build your own players, as well as parks we see the possibility to play the game over and over.
